Transition Henbury/Brentry is a locally based group, looking towards the future when the oil runs out. We are, like many other communities, thinking about ways we can make the transition to a less oil dependent way of life. We meet in the Library every other month on the last Saturday. There are many people living in this area who have never visited the Castle at Blaise. The Friends of Blaise will be opening it on the following dates throughout the summer between the hours of 2:00pm and 4:30p m
If you have never done this, you will find the climb up Castle Hill to be well worth while, with views of five counties from the Castle roof. Also an interesting display of its history:
